Solution Integrator – Oracle DB Expert - Position # 3913
Company Profile
Our client is the world’s leading provider of microprocessor card solutions.
Responsibilities
- Integration of Oracle DB systems for company server products under GSM/UMTS operators infrastructure
- Contribution to server solution installation/configuration/deployment on project basis
- Enterprise application/solution in Unix environment integration with customer and in-house end systems and backends
- Contribution in end-to-end integration of server solutions
- Technical coordination, responsibility for technical scope of the design and development and implementation of a product, autonomous
Qualifications
- Able to speak at least communicative English (level advanced)
- At least 3 years experience with Oracle integration and administration (full-time) in IT with larger projects (solution or application deployment/ installation/ configuration in Java based enterprise environment)
- Experienced with system integration & deployment (1-2 years)
- Database administration Oracle 9i/10g/11g
- Database performance tuning, optimization monitoring and sizing
- Backup and recovery (RMAN)
- Good knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL
- Good knowledge of Oracle utilities (imp/exp, Sql loader, Data Pump)
- Good knowledge of Unix like OS (HP UX, Sun Solaris, Linux) … Solaris/RedHat
- Shell scripting (ksh, bash)
- Experienced with life cycle of the project
- Very good analytical mind and problem solving skills
- Communicative, open-minded, friendly, autonomous but a team player when necessary
- Customer and service orientation
- Willing to travel on business abroad (1-2 days/month, usually max. 2 weeks)
Advantage:
- Experience with High availability architecture (preferably Veritas Cluster),
- Oracle RAC knowledge
- Experience with programming languages
- Telecom knowledge (GSM Sub-systems HLR , ..)
- Other (non-Oracle) DB systems
