Senior SW Validation Engineer/ Tester - Position # 3917

Company Profile 

Our client is the world’s leading provider of microprocessor card solutions. 

Responsibilities 

- As part of the R&D development team you will be responsible for entire validation process of our products (applications, libraries, system and solutions; either purely software or combining software and hardware).
- Working with Project Leader you will analyse the subject, define a test strategy and prepare the test plan.
- You will execute the Test Plan and present the Test Results.
- You will document your activity in form of Validation Strategy and Test Plan.
- You will be also responsible for selection of tools and/or development of them if non-existing.
- You will be responsible for development of automated tests.
- Closely working with Quality Assurance Officer you will participate to selection of appropriate methodology, tailoring of the QA process and its follow-up.
- As integral part of the development team you will cooperate very closely with developers in order to reproduce, identify and isolate the issues.
- You will couch junior team mates on testing methodology, but also on technology, tools and problem domain

Qualifications 

- Very good level of English
- At least 4-5 years experience in Software Validation
- Excellent knowledge in validation methodologies and tools
- Good knowledge of SQL and Database servers
- Good programming skills (scripting language, Java or C#) are preferred
- Good understanding of web technologies and applications servers (HTTP, HTML/XML, Jboss, WebSphere, GlassFish…)
- To have the potential to be a technical leader
- Very good analytical mind, able and willing to learn
- Detailed oriented, able to cope with and manage multiple tasks
- Customer and service orientation
- Team working and good communication skills
- Rigorous, precise and pragmatic
- Willingness to travel worldwide for workshops, integration and deployment in customer premises (short/medium duration)

Advantage:

- Basic knowledge of cryptography (symmetric, asymmetric, PKI ...)
- Experience with validation of GUI and/or web application
- Knowledge on smart card, smart card personalization, smart card usage, PC/SC
- Experience with Mercury Quality Centrum
