Senior Software Validation Engineer/ Tester - Position # 3839

Company Profile 

Our client is the world’s leading provider of microprocessor card solutions. 

Responsibilities 

- Create ways to test a product within time and cost constraints, for the three kinds of products: cards, readers and middleware
- Evaluate the efficiency of a validation strategy assessing : covered risk versus cost, budget estimation and field feedback
- Share the budget rating with the Project Manager (PM), as well as relevant information for assessing the product’s quality and monitoring the project
- Negotiate the budget rating with the PM, the R&D, the marketing and the sales teams
- Help the development team repair detected defects by proposing solutions

- Verify the conformity of a product according to one or more specifications
- Validate a product or product component and propose solutions to eliminate the root cause of potential defects
- Participate in the validation strategy (tasks definition).
- Execute and/or analyze Tests
- Report bugs, verify the correction of identified defects and the possible occurrence of new ones
- Test the product in a client usage context
- Write validation documentation: Validation Expertise Report,…
- Raise any quality issues that may occur and make recommendations in that respect
- Ensure technological watch/survey

Qualifications 

- University graduate ideally in Software, Electronics or Telecommunications is an advantage
- Communicative English
- At least 4-5 years of work experience in Software Validation
- Excellent experience in Validation of methods, processes and tools
- Knowledge of the Quality Assurance processes
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle / Custom Development Life Cycle
- Knowledge of Validation of graphical user interfaces
- Knowledge of software infrastructure for a client-server framework
- Knowledge of programming language C++ or (Java, C#)
- Basic knowledge of Networking and Security
- Very good analytical mind, able and willing to learn
- Team working and good communication skills
- Customer and service orientation
- Detailed oriented, rigorous, precise and pragmatic
- Autonomous, resistant against redundant tasks
- Able to acquire a systemic view of a whole project
- Able to experience the product from the customer’s point of view
